The news today at Hutchins Farm in Concord, Massachusetts

Of course some farmers have early apples for a month already. But
Hutchins's eclectic catalog ripens
later than that.
Today is also the first day of picking apples at another area organic farm: Old Frog Pond Farm in Harvard, Massachusetts.
I've put these two orchards on a map, along with other places I write about in this blog.
